DISTRICT 7870 2018 ROTARY FOUNDATION GALAS
There will be two regional Rotary Foundation Galas:
The Rotary Foundation Galas will take place from 6pm to 9pm.
The Foundation Galas will have food stations and there will also be a cash bar. During the Galas, Rotarians and Non – Rotarians will be encouraged to network with each other, view the displays, and enjoy musical performances and presentations. The Foundation Rotary Galas will showcase many of the Rotary Foundation Projects that our District is engaged in. It is also an opportunity to learn about Rotary and the Foundation, as well as, using this event as a means of encouraging non-Rotarians to consider becoming members. There will be a formal program at each Gala with featured speakers on Foundation activities. These speakers will be of outstanding quality. The formal program will begin at 7:00. In addition to the Featured Speaker, there will also be several brief presentations by Rotary Clubs from our District that are sponsoring Foundation Projects and would be interested in other Clubs participating in the projects. The cost is $30.00 per person for Rotarians and their Spouses. Every Rotarian is encouraged to bring a friend, who could be a Prospective New Member, for free. Tickets will be pre-sold to provide an indication of the anticipated attendance. Please purchase your tickets on the District Website using credit or debit card. Or mailing a check to Alan Kenegsberg, 9 Old Coach Road, Bow NH 03304.
As the ticket pricing indicates, we would encourage you to invite a non-Rotarian to the Gala so that they may consider becoming a new member, as it will be a great way to introduce them to Rotary. Each Event Ticket will include one raffle ticket and the chance to win some excellent raffle prizes. Additional tickets will be available for purchase for $5 each or 3 for $10. Raffle tickets will be drawn – with replacement – in other words if your number is drawn and you win a prize – your number goes back into the drum – and in theory you could win every prize if you were so lucky.
In advance of the Galas, the Club Presidents for 2018-2019, will be asked to commit to the following: · Promote attendance at one of the Galas · Provide a raffle prize equal in value to $25 or $1 dollar per club member whichever is greater · Provide 3 to 5 pictures via email of club event(s) for the purpose of being included in a power point presentation
We hope to see you all at the Rotary Foundation Galas. |

Mar. 12, 2019 - Apr. 12, 2019
Once again, this year we will be having a DIAPER DRIVE, with proceeds going to several non-profits in the Nashua community. Right now we are targeting the following non-profits for this year's donations:
Staring March 12th through April 12th, Roy Rankin, Andrea Nelson and I will be collecting Diapers, Diaper Wipes, Diaper Coupons and monetary donations.
Just a Note: The size of the diapers is very important. Large sizes are what is mostly needed - Size 4 and larger, plus Pull-Ups. Drop off is at Helen Honorow's office at 161 Kinsley Street, Nashua. You can also bring any donations to one of our weekly meetings where we will be glad to collect them.
Please let's make this another successful fundraiser for our club.

Mar. 28, 2019 6:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
The 4 Way Speech Contest will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club of Nashua. We would love to have as many Rotarians as possible participate in this program as an official or simply to eat snacks and support the students who participate. If you have a young person in your life who may want to some day participate we would encourage you to bring them along to the contest. If you would like to be a volunteer, please email Helen. Also, if you know any high school students in Nashua who you think might be interested in participating, please have them complete the registration form listed on the left. The Four Way Test speech contest is a competition for 9-12 graders. It requires each participating student to create and present a speech on a subject of their choice, applying the 4-Way Test to guide their thinking and their actions. History of the 4-Way Test From the earliest days of Rotary, Rotarians have been concerned with promoting high ethical standards in their professional lives. One of the world's most widely printed and quoted statements of business ethics is The 4-Way Test, which was created in 1932 by Rotarian Herbert J. Taylor (who later served as Rotary International's president) when he was asked to take charge of a company that was facing bankruptcy. This 24-word test for employees to use in making decisions in their business and professional lives became the guide for sales, production, advertising, and all relations with suppliers and customers. The survival of the company is credited to this simple philosophy. Adopted by Rotary in 1943, The 4-Way Test has been translated into more than a hundred languages and published in thousands of ways.
