For the past two years, the Rotary Club of Nashua West has taken time to work with two non-profit partners, Cards 4 Our Military and United Way of Greater Nashua in expressing our gratitude for their exemplary hard work on behalf of our country and its citizens.
Holiday Cards 4 Our Military was formed in 2017 and sent 17,000 cards to our offshore military personnel; in 2018 close to 50,000 cards were sent and 2019 saw this triple. We are grateful for Laura Landerman-Garber for sharing her idea with us, to take time during a few of our club meetings to remind Rotarians of the importance of serving our country.
This year, United Way of Greater Nashua also approached us and asked us to take time to thank our local everyday heroes who support our most vulnerable populations in our hospitals. Included are over two thousand nurses, technicians, food service workers, cleaning staff, EMT’s, and everyone supporting patient care who work tirelessly in working the fight for the health of their neighbors in Greater Nashua.
For these two organizations and those minding this challenging work, the Rotarians of Nashua West are forever indebted and grateful. Thank you!
