The Rotary Club of Nashua West recently identified Benji’s Closet at Southern NH Health as a recipient of our Literacy Committee’s book donation program, providing 40 children’s books in both English and Spanish. This valuable community resource provides critical resources for low income mothers that have their babies in the Birth Place.
The club’s Literacy Chair, Janet Valuk, said, “When I heard about Benji’s Closet, I was intrigued as it’s a great way to support literacy, and reading books to children is an essential steppingstone in their lives.”
“We are so grateful to be recognized for the important work we are doing,” said Paula Taylor, Director of Philanthropy at Southern.
